Calculation methodology and assumptions
This page describes the actual assumptions of the current implementation. The calculation is not clinically validated and does not guarantee agreement with the measurement.
Ethanol and distribution
Grams of ethanol = ml × ABV / 100 × 0.789. Model dose = grams / (kg × yr). A density of 0.789 g/ml is an approximate constant; r is 0.68 or 0.55 depending on the chosen model.
More drinks
Each item is divided into 60 equal doses in the drinking interval. At zero interval length, it is one dose. Each is absorbed linearly over 45 minutes.
Elimination
The absorption start and end events are sequenced. Between them, the common level changes by active absorption minus 0.15 ‰/h. The result is always at least zero.
Time to zero and rounding
The chart, timeline and countdown use the same model. Time to zero is rounded up to the next minute.
Entry limits
Weight 20-300 kg, volume up to 5000 ml and concentration 0-100%. These are technical limits, not confirmation of the suitability of the model for all persons in this range.
What the model doesn't know
It does not measure individual metabolism and does not contain clinical parameters. The catalog is indicative. It is not intended for medical decisions, legal evidence or driving assessment.
