What is a standard drink?
A standard drink represents a defined amount of ethanol, not one arbitrary glass. When comparing, you have to know which definition you are using.
Definition used in the module
The NIAAA uses 14 g pure alcohol for the US. The module below explicitly uses this definition; does not mark it as a Slovak legal or health limit.
Example
500 ml of beer at 5% has approximately 19.7 g of ethanol. With the definition of 14 g, this is approximately 1.41 units. It is not about the number of recommended drinks.
